Creating, a Start (ongoing)

Growing up, I found myself starved for a visual vocabulary that manifested in my queerness and reflected what I saw in the mirror each day. Learning to express myself gave me the ability to create my own little world, but it wasn’t enough to do it alone. That’s why I needed to cultivate a community of creatives and consume the work they produced. Taking their portraits and hearing about their relationships with their art is not only a form of edification for me, but also a way to recognize and celebrate who they are.
